The U-16 Sol Boys were at it again with two goal filled romping wins over the long weekend. On Saturday, visitors Cal Rush were no match for our lads 5-0 offensive onslaught. Our boys came back on Monday to where they left off, strolling through SU Arsenal's defense for a decisive 4-0 victory. Notably, Jovany Cruz netted 6 goals himself over the weekend to lead the Sol back into the race for the Norcal U16 Gold championship.

FC Sol Overpower Sonoma SC 4-0

posted Mar 1, 2010 10:08 PM by David Taylor

The FC Sol U-16s overpowered the Sonoma FC visitors 4-0 in Sunday's match at Luchesi Park. This was an ominous performance from Coach Mork's young lads. Mork's 4-3-3 formation was utterly unstoppable, attacking in overlapping waves, the Sonoma SC side were left choking on the Sol's fire-bearing vapor trails.

The scoring fest was initialized by a brazen run from young mid-fielder Alexander Z, serving a cross on a plate for striker Diego to nod home with authority. Second half substitute Jovany sent a nuclear missile screaming past the helpless Sonoma SC goalkeeper.
